3,220 poor women get relief materials at Gaibandha

Ekota, a local humanitarian and voluntary organization, distributed relief materials among the poor of four unions of sadar upazila in Gaibandha on 27th September.

The aid was given at a simple ceremony held at Ekota head office at Kumarpara under Kholahati union of sadar upazila.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abu Muhammad Yousuf addressed the function as chief guest, while executive director of Ekota M Lutfar Rahman Mondal chaired it.

The function was also Addressed, among others, by Ghagoa UP chairman AFM, BSS district correspondent M. Shahiduzzaman and project manager Abdus Samad.

The DC formally inaugurated the programme through distributing clothes and mosquito nets to beneficiaries.

A total of 3,220 poor women of Ghagoa, Malibari, Kholahati and Gidari unions of sadar upazila were given shari, lungi and mosquito nets as relief materials, said project manager of Diakonia-Bangladesh Sabera Islam.
