A picture taken by a mobile camera phone, which is self-explanatory

This is a very sad situation of our Traffic System where there is no rule or awareness. If there are some rules, no one is informed about this or cared about.

The picture was taken on 30 May 2007 at afternoon from the busy Manik Miah Avenue, opposite of Jatia Sangsad (National Parliament) at the Capital City Dhaka in Bangladesh. I was passing by the road at that time while I was on the stearing of my car. I was surprised to see the incident in the middle of a busy city road. Perhaps traffic was little low at that moment and the driver of the van was dare enough to change the punctured tyre without thinking of parking the vehicle beside the road. Any incident or traffic jam can be created for such foolish decision of the driver.

This is a very sad situation of our Traffic System where there is no rule or awareness. If there are some rules, no one is informed about this or cared about.

I am sure that that particular  vehicle and its driver  was not fined or taken action against it/him  for ignoring such traffic rule or irresponsible action. Even the traffic police responsible for this area was not questioned at least.

Regards.
